Krzysztof
(Kris) Sobczak is the newest
litigation associate to join Halström
Law Offices, P.C., previously having worked at the firm as a law clerk
since February 2010. After finishing first in his class at Haverhill
High School, he attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he
earned B.S. in Political Science & Science,
Technology, and
Society. Subsequently, he
learned a M.S. in Computer Information
Systems from Boston University, and in 2010 graduated, cum
laude,
with
a J.D. from Boston College Law School.
Mr. Sobczak started his legal
education at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he was the
Managing Editor for the International Law Review. Mr. Sobczak served in
the United States Marine Corps from 1998-2008, first as enlisted, then
as commissioned officer, obtaining the rank of Captain. He is President
and CEO of the Marine Corps Mustang Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable
organization which provides college scholarships for Marines. While in
law school, he acted as a Judicial Intern for the
Honorable Raymond J.
Brassard of the Massachusetts Superior Court and Judicial Extern to
Honorable Judge Edward Washington II of the Circuit Court of Cook
County, Illinois. He volunteered countless hours as a Clinical
Associate at the Veterans Legal Services Center & Clinic in
Chicago, Illinois, assisting our nation's veterans to obtain
various
benefits. As a Clinical Associate he was a contributing
editor to
the
Military Service and the Law book, published in 2009 by Illinois
